What makes for a good welcome? Think about ways you have been welcomed into a group. What things made you feel warm and fuzzy? Conversely, what made you think, "I'm outta here."

Steps that will help you in your role as a Welcome Center Volunteer

• Arrive 30 minutes before the service begins
• Set up the iPad
• Assure that offering plates are set out for ushers
• Get bulletins out for the greeters and ushers
• Know what's currently going on: read through latest newsletter, ask Pastor Edward etc.)
• Check-in volunteers on Planning Center
• Hand out / collect volunteer name tags before/after worship service
• Assign volunteers and remind them where they are scheduled if needed
• Stay after the service 10 to15 minutes to answer questions or sign people up for classes or events
• Enter people into Planning Center (from New Here cards). Be sure to. include their First Visit in "Important Dates" and get their photo
