What makes for a good welcome? Think about ways you have been welcomed into a group. What things made you feel warm and fuzzy? Conversely, what made you think, "I'm outta here."
Steps that will help you in your role as a Welcome Center Volunteer
- Arrive 30 minutes before the service begins
- Always wear a smile and greet people coming into our buildings
- If you have a shovel you can bring with you when you're scheduled, that would help.
- Dress appropriately, especially wearing gloves to avoid potential blisters.
