THERE YOU ARE!
Volunteer: Greeter
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galations 5:13
You're the first person visitors actually talk with as they arrive. You are the first of the first impressions. Be prayerful as you drive in

Steps that will help you in your role as a Greeter Volunteer
- Arrive 20 to 30 minutes before the service begins
- Check in at the Welcome Desk to pick up your name tag
- Go to your assigned door and be ready to great with a SMILE
- Be on the lookout for new guests and introduce yourself before asking, "What's your name?"
- Answer any questions they might have (or if you don't know, indicate you'll find out for them)
- Show new guests the cafe, restrooms, Kid City, Welcome Center, and Worship Center
- As you take new guests into the Worship Center, get them a bulletin and ask them to fill out a New Here card to drop in the offering place when it comes around
- Avoid pointing people in a direction; escort them personally
- Wait 5 to 10 minutes after the worship service begins before leaving your door location to be able to catch people who arrive later
- Help guests find a place to sit
- Open doors for anyone coming into or leaving the service
- Remember: it's dark and hard to adjust if people arrive late
- Add chairs to rows as needed
- Open doors and greet people as they leave at the end of the service
- Try to locate them after the service and follow up with a thank you for visiting and let them know you would be happy to see them again the next week
